If you are after some different fashion ideas, not sure how to co-ordinate colours or just interested in what I am wearing, you are in the right place!
Fashion sense and style
I have often been asked about how I developed my fashion sense and style. It's a little quirky, colourful and bright it comes firstly, from my love of colour. Years of designing and sewing my own clothes and trying new ideas has strengthened this style.
I just love a bargain so opshops (opportunity shops or thrift stores) are a must visit destination. The beauty of these stores is you can shop at a fraction of the cost of new and save on landfill at the same time! Recycling makes you creative and resourceful and when shopping you get loads of fashion ideas.
Some existing items in your wardrobe may need a little lift. A recent purchase may also be lacking that spark and glamour. So, revamping an outfit by changing the buttons, adding braid, adapting the sleeves or adding some applique can transform it into an amazing must have piece!
Strategic shopping
I am also a strategic shopper. By this I mean I buy 'some' new clothes that are 'key pieces'. They are generally bought on sale or I consider them to be very good value! This includes 'prize buys' from other countries. As I love to travel, I like to purchase special items that I know I will never get in Australia and will also remind me of my travels. This inspires me and I get loads of exciting fashion ideas.
The final result
Mix up all these things...travel 'prize buys', strategic items on sale, opshop recycled finds, revamped clothes and handmade items and it makes for a colourful, eclectic range of stylish fashions!
